Typically 400–800 hours depending on material abrasiveness. Quarry profile plates wear faster than standard — the deeper tooth profile means less steel mass per tooth. Rotate or flip reversible plates at 50% wear to extend total service life.
Uneven feed distribution is the most common cause — material should enter the center of the crushing chamber. Check that the feed hopper is centered and the feeder is distributing evenly. Worn cheek plates can also channel material to one side.
Yes. The fixed jaw takes more direct impact because material contacts it first. A 60/40 wear ratio (fixed/swing) is typical. If the ratio exceeds 70/30, check your CSS setting — you may be crushing too fine for the jaw configuration.
