Bowl Liner / Concave — Matching material grades. Stationary counterpart to the mantle. Together they form the crushing chamber.

Manganese steel work-hardens under impact — surface hardness increases during operation, extending wear life.

Upper Frame — Cast steel. Supports and protects internal components. Forms the upper crushing chamber.

Rollercone bearings vs. bronze bushings — maintenance difference?

MVP series uses patented Rollercone roller bearings — no bronze bushings to replace. Lower friction means less heat and lower oil temperatures. Grease-lubricated bearings instead of circulating oil. Simpler maintenance: check and top up grease every 40 hours instead of monitoring a circulating oil system.

How does the hydropneumatic tramp relief work?

Gas-over-oil accumulators absorb the pressure spike when tramp iron enters the chamber. The bowl lifts, the object passes, and the bowl returns to the set position — all automatically. No shear pins or toggle plates to replace after a tramp event.

Mn18Cr2 or Mn21Cr2Mo for MVP liners?

Standard quarry rock: Mn18Cr2. Shot rock and recycled concrete: Mn21Cr2 — the variable feed size in these applications creates impact spikes that benefit from deeper work-hardening. Sand and gravel: Mn18Cr2 — consistent feed size means predictable, uniform wear.
