Symons cone crusher series

The Symons 3ft is a compact cone crusher for small to medium operations. Standard and short-head configurations available.

Standard configuration is for secondary crushing behind a jaw crusher. Short-head produces finer material for tertiary or quaternary stages.

Spring release system protects against tramp iron. Adjustment via rotating the bowl. Manual or hydraulic clamping depends on the build year.

Common wear parts: mantle (Mn18Cr2), bowl liner (Mn18Cr2), socket liner (C93800 bronze), thrust bearing (C93700), countershaft bushing. All stocked.

The 4 1/4ft is the most common Symons model in the field. Three cavity types: coarse (standard), medium, and fine (short-head).

Standard model feed opening ~130mm, short-head ~50mm. Closed-side setting adjustable from 10mm to 50mm depending on cavity.

Driven by a 130-150 kW motor through V-belts and a countershaft gear set. Eccentric throw fixed, speed fixed — the different cavity profiles are what give you different product sizes.

Larger capacity than the 4 1/4ft. Used in medium to large quarry and mining operations for secondary and tertiary crushing.

Feed opening: standard ~200mm, short-head ~75mm. Standard motor 200-220 kW. Throughput depends on CSS, cavity type, and feed material — typically 200-450 tph.

Heavier main frame and larger diameter head than the 4 1/4ft. The same spring tramp release system. Bowl adjustment mechanism is either manual or hydraulic.

The largest standard Symons cone crusher. Heavy-duty secondary and tertiary crushing in large mines and quarries.

Standard feed opening ~330mm. Motor typically 250-315 kW. Throughput 400-800+ tph depending on material and settings.

Two main variants: standard (coarse crushing) and short-head (finer product). Standard throws and heavy-duty (HD) versions exist for extra-tough feed.
